Running through the forest, just east of her village, she comes apon a hurt man. She stops and cleans the wound and wraps it in a silky cloth. She wonders wether she should keep going, and save herself, or take him and save both. "Both.." She thought to herself.

She picked him up carefully and put him on her back and started running as fast as she could.

 

   There was a war that broke out, causing people to flee, but those who tried to escape from the area, died.

 

When she got to a river, far away enough not to be safe away from the disasters breaking out. His wound on his leg was feeling better. "Thank you..." He said with relief. "De Nada." "Oh, you're spanish?" "Si si. But I speak English little." She said with a smile.  "Well...hopefully I can understand you later in time, if we still know eachother. Hey, how old are you anyway?" "15" She said looking at her hands. "15? Geez....I'm Dalton, I'm 19. Anyway...why are you in Peru? Aren't you suppose to be in Mexico or something?" "Si, Deportation took me away, put me here. I left familia behind...I miss them." "Oh...I'm sorry. I'm here on business..But I guess I should've stayed home. Boy, you can run fast. Maybe if I can find a plane or something I could return home and bring you with me...I've always wanted a daughter." "I be daughter??" Apon her face grew a big smile and she started to jump around. "Haha, sure, why not? Once my leg gets better we can go around looking for something to get back." He stood up and began walking in a circle for a minute or two. "No no, sit." She pushed him down and made him sit. "What's your name, anyways?" "Kenya" "Pretty name" She smiled at him. "I get wood for fire." Kenya walks back into the woods.

While she's away Dalton thinks about how he's going to provide for Kenya. "Hmm..I'm deffinately quitting my job, mabey I could become an author and write about what's happening here. Yeah...I could so do that." A few moments later Kenya return with alot of firewood. "Here." She said smiling. "We make fire, esta noche?" "Yep, unless you want to be cold all night." "No, gracias."
